There is certainly something to be said about consistency! Thirteen years after I last had this dish at this place, they are still churning out a very high quality product. Once again, though, that cheese. Extremely Pungent cheese. I’m not exactly complaining, but I imagine some people do. Let’s call it “flair”.
Salt and pepper on the plate, nicely done. No need to reach for more.
Absolutely perfect temp. Slightly cold.
Perfect cut of meat, not stringy and not sparse. Generous portion. Perhaps even enough to share if one were so inclined.
Onions in the winter are often super strong. Different supply chain I imagine, these are just barely acceptable.
Perfect EVOO drizzle, no aioli.
Perfect capers.
Two crostini’s, crusty not soggy, with cute little grill marks. Plus.
Overall Score: 9/10 – Would recommend and definitely get again. Try to find less-strong onions. If you want perfection, throw a lemon wedge on the plate.
